The DFW Fire Training Research Center, a globally recognized as the leader in fire training. Our state-of-the-art collaborative classroom incorporates both online and in-class technology solutions to give every student the opportunity to learn in an environment they are most comfortable.

Hardware and Technology

During the past decade, there has been an increase in the amount of digital technology implemented in training and classroom environments. The FTRC continues to stay on the forefront of technology transformations, which will allow instructors to present rich content in a way that will engage students and provide an exciting learning environment unmatched by other training centers.

Software systems

Our technology system allows instructors and FTRC staff to maximize classroom time through increased student engagement. Our technology is approachable and accessible by individuals of varying technical expertise. These systems provide students with the opportunity to enforce skills learned indoors before going outside and implementing those same practices in the training field.

While the previous systems allowed for easy management of virtual classroom environment, classroom management utilities allow instructors to easily manage and engage with students through a hands-on environment. Some of these features include:

• Show any student’s workstation on the primary instructor screen
• Push a question or image to all student screens
• Annotate content on the primary instructor screen
• Create virtual seating chart and nameplates for students
